On 3rd September, a bid was made by a property developer to obtain planning permission to build 12 new detached family houses, with a total of 38 bedrooms and 24 car parking spaces on a plot of land beside Barnhill Farm, less than 100m from the edge of the our grounds. As you will know, there is already a small group of 6 houses nearby in Abbeylands Road, built in the 1970s to house the estate farm workers. This new project would more than triple the number of residents immediately beside the Abbey. We are not in favour of this.

The planning application number is 19/01090/APP.
