Bishop Hugh was with the community on St. Andrew's Day, 30th November, for the Blessing of St. Joseph's House. That was a happy occasion, much enjoyed by all able to be present for it.

As of mid-December 2024, there are still some small details of the house waiting to be finished. We also await the completion of the large central St. Joseph Statue.

Nevertheless, the whole place is essentially complete; everything works; and the overall impression is most satisfactory!

The individual rooms compare very favourably indeed with what has hitherto been available at St. Scholastica's. They vary considerably in size and shape: but all are certainly both larger and more comfortable. Each room has its own en suite facilities, including a heated mirror that will never cloud over, and a heated towel rail. Each also has under-floor heating, which can easily be controlled by a touch-screen control panel.
