The Residential Oblate Summer Retreat 6th-9th August has had to be abandoned. The decision has been taken since the last Summer Oblate Letter. This countermands that (only in regard to that one item). It is because the authorities have extended the effects of lockdown by a month, with no promises about what happens then. That's the bad news... But! But, and nevertheless, the Retreat will be livestreamed by Canon Luke Smith from the Abbey here on the advertised days Saturday 7th 10.30 a.m. & 3.00 pm Sunday Mass at 10.00 am and Monday at 9 a.m. for renewal of Oblation--so many more of us will be able to take part from our own homes!
