Prints by Br Daniel Morphy
Prints by Br Daniel Morphy
The pen and ink drawings, from which these prints are made, began as studies for Br Daniel’s paintings but have developed into a genre of their own. They take their cue from the American ‘Underground Comix’ movement of the 1960’s, but rather than strip cartoons take the form of single panel surrealist narratives. The content is informed by, as much as anything, scriptural and theological themes, mutated by passing through the artist’s imaginative filter, thus rendering the result profoundly personal.
The prints are all A4 size produced by a digital halftone process and obtained from an online printer who specialises in high quality short runs. The frames have clear plastic front protection.
They are all signed by the artist.
