On 5th March 1913 our community, then on Caldey Island, was received into full communion with the Catholic Church. This book was produced in 2013, as part of the centenary celebrations of that event. The dramatic story of why and how it came about is here unfolded in the words of those who were directly involved. Included here is the correspondence between Abbot Aelred and the Anglican Church authorities which led up to the crisis, and a series of personal accounts and contemporary comments.
